School: Presently finishing my undergraduate degree in Flute Performance at Temple University, graduating in May 2009.

What age did you begin playing a musical instrument? Age 9

Why did you choose the instrument you play?
I first wanted to play piccolo, but the school music teacher told me that I had to learn flute first. I was attracted to the piccolo because of its size. I thought, as a nine-year-old, that it would be cool to just keep it in your pocket and take it out any where to play. It’s ironic that this is sort of how it works today.

Who is your favorite composer, and favorite work? Why?
I really like romantic composers such as Schubert, Dvorak, or Rachmaninoff. My favorite work is Telemann’s e minor sonata for two flute. This piece was one of the first pieces I heard while learning the flute. I had it on a Rampal CD and listened to it over and over again, as a kid.

How many years have you been performing with Symphony in C?  2 years

What’s your favorite part about playing in Symphony in C?
Working with and learning from Maestro Milanov.

Where do you aspire to be in ten years? And what do you plan to do?

I hope to secure a position with a major symphony orchestra playing piccolo.

What are you currently listening to on your I-pod?
Dashboard Confessionals, a guilty habit.

What other interests outside of music do you share, if any?
Foreign Languages, Cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
