Performance Partnerships
Rutgers Camden Center for the Arts
Symphonyin C, entering its second full season performing in the City of Camden,has forged a strong partnership with Rutgers University-Camden andRutgers Camden Center for the Arts in order to provide our audienceswith world-class performances in the acoustically pleasing GordonTheater. Symphony in C and Rutgers work together to create a safe andenjoyable concert-going experience for audience members, collaborate injoint marketing and advertising efforts, and work together to mosteffectively engage the Rutgers University-Camden community by workingwith students, faculty and staff throughout the year.
Urbantrekkers & Urban Promise
Symphonyin C continues its partnership with UrbanTrekkers, the expeditionarylearning program at UrbanPromise. High school students from theUrbanPromise Academy volunteer at all season performances as theSymphony's ushers and concessionaires. The usher and concessionsprogram is designed not only to expose students to classical music butto provide students with the opportunity to further develop theirinterpersonal and entrepreneurial skills. Greater Camden Partnership - Clean and Safe Ambassadors
Symphonyin C recognizes that patron safety and comfort are crucial to asuccessful and enjoyable concert-going experience. For this reason,Symphony in C works with Greater Camden Partnership Clean and SafeStreet Ambassadors to create a welcoming and safe presence around theGordon Theater and the Rutgers University-Camden campus. Greater CamdenPartnership is a public-private collaborative organization committed tothe revitalization of the City of Camden through business development.
Astral Artistic Services
Symphonyin C and Astral Artistic Services are both committed to the careerdevelopment of young musicians. The Symphony is committed tostrengthening the careers of orchestral musicians and Astral iscommitted to strengthening the careers of rising soloists. Symphony inC has featured Astral artists including Katherine Needleman, oboe;Nicolas Kendall, violin; Karen Slack, soprano; and Jason Vieaux,guitar. Through this collaboration, Symphony in C performs on Astral’sRising Star Series at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts inPhiladelphia.

Educational Partnerships
Symphonyin C has a longstanding partnership with Kingsway Learning Centerthrough its Classroom Symphony music education program which wasinitiated at Kingsway Learning Center in 1992. This partnership beganas a collaborative effort at making music a living presence forstudents with learning and developmental disabilities, and to educatethem about music history, styles and terms. While the Symphonycontinues this partnership with Kingsway, the Classroom Symphonyprogram has grown to also serve schools throughout Camden, Burlingtonand Gloucester Counties.
